JCCC trustees elect board officers, set meeting dates for 2012-2013

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – At their meeting June 21, the Johnson County Community College board of trustees elected officers for 2012-2013. 

Melody Rayl, Olathe, will chair the board. Bob Drummond, Olathe, will be vice chair; Jerry Cook, Overland Park, will be treasurer; and Stephanie Sharp, Lenexa, will be secretary. 

Don Weiss, Olathe, and Greg Musil, Overland Park, will serve on the Learning Quality Committee. Drummond and Jon Stewart, Lake Quivira, will serve on the Management Committee. Cook and Sharp will serve on the Human Resources Committee, and Rayl and Drummond will be on the Audit Committee. 

The liaisons to the JCCC Foundation will be Musil and Sharp. Cook will remain the liaison to the Kansas Association of Community College Trustees, and Weiss will be liaison to the Johnson County Education Research Triangle.

Meetings begin at 5 p.m. and take place in the Hugh W. Speer board room, 137 GEB, on the JCCC campus. The dates and times of regular meetings may be changed by the majority consent of the board of trustees. All board of trustees meetings are open to the public.
