Manufacturing Round Table

JCCC co-hosts manufacturing round table

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County Community College will co-host a round-table discussion on manufacturing to gather input for the Kansas Manufacturing Strategic Plan. 

The meeting will be from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, in the Capitol Federal Conference Center, Regnier Center.

The plan is being developed by Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback’s office, and the meetings will gather information for creation of that plan. Leaders in Kansas manufacturing have been invited to attend.

The JCCC meeting is the second of a series of meetings being conducted across the state as part of the larger National Governor’s Association Policy Academy Round Tables. The first round-table discussion was Dec. 12 at Wichita State University. Approximately 80 people attended that event.

Co-hosts of the JCCC event are the Mid-America Manufacturing Technology Center and the Olathe (Kan.) Chamber of Commerce.
