JCCC faculty members win Distinguished Service Awards
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Ten faculty members at Johnson County Community College were awarded Distinguished Service Awards for 2013-14. The awards recognize and reward excellence in job performance. They are (in alphabetical order):
- Jeff Anderson, Olathe, professor/counselor
- David Davis, Overland Park, professor, English
- Terri Easley, Overland Park, associate professor, speech
- Dawn Gale, Prairie Village, associate professor, philosophy
- Susan Johnson, Paola, Kan., professor/chair, engineering technology
- James Leiker, Eudora, Kan., professor, history
- Ellyn Mulcahy, Mission, associate professor, science
- Marilyn Senter, Prairie Village, professor, English
- Lori Slavin, Olathe, associate professor, chemistry
- Allison Smith, Leawood, associate professor/chair, art history
Recipients are awarded $5,000 during a two-year period. The external judge was Kellis Bayless, lecturer, biology, at Washburn University, Topeka, Kan.
