Process Improvement Showcase

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Business managers can discover new ways to improve the way things are done, thanks to a free event at Johnson County Community College.

Process Improvement Showcase will reveal the mysteries of various process improvement techniques such as Lean and Six Sigma from 7:30-11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, in the Regnier Center at JCCC.

Instructors will explain how a process improvement program can impact your organization. In addition to describing Lean and Six Sigma, the instructors also will:

  • Explain the importance of the voice of the customer and the cost of poor quality.
  • Assess the roles and responsibilities within the quality improvement process.
  • Examine the business practices needed to implement a successful program.

“Choosing the right project is important, but providing the optimal business foundations are even more essential to the success of any process improvement effort,” said Karen Martley, executive director, Staff, Workforce and Community Development at JCCC.

The event is designed for an organization’s top management team, including operations engineers, directors, managers and supervisors.

Registration is required, and seating is limited to two people per company. To register online, go to www.centerforbusiness.org. To register by phone, call 913-469-2323.

A 7:30 a.m. continental breakfast precedes the showcase, and door prizes, including free classes from the Center for Business and Technology, will be awarded.
