Farmin' the 'Burbs at JCCC April 27
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Johnson County Community College is hosting Farmin' the 'Burbs Wednesday, April 27, in the Commons Plaza. Events are free and open to the public.
The schedule is:
- Farmers market 4-8 p.m.
- Campus farm tours 4:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m.
- The Greenhorns, a documentary film exploring the lives of America’s young farming community, 8 p.m.
Farmin' the 'Burbs allows visitors to tour the 2.5-acre farm on the west side of campus operated by JCCC's sustainable agriculture certificate program, visit and sample the wares of farmers and purveyors in the local famers market and attend an outdoor screening of The Greenhorns (movie trailer available at www.thegreenhorns.net). Farm tours will leave from the Commons Plaza.
In case of rain, events will take place in the Regnier Center.
