Dollars for Scholars

JCCC Dollars for Scholars scheduled April 15

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County Community College's Dollars for Scholars, an annual fundraiser for student scholarships, begins at 6 p.m. Friday, April 15, in the Capitol Federal Conference Center of the Regnier Center, JCCC. Hosted by JCCC friends, alumni, faculty, staff and students, the event benefits student assistance and programming.

Dollars for Scholars features live and silent auctions, dinner, beverages, raffles, games of chance and entertainment. Dinner includes a barbecue brisket sandwich, JCCC’s famous homemade potato chips and coleslaw.

Auction items include restaurant gift certificates, floral arrangements, Garmin GPS, Saint Petersburg beach condo, Performing Arts Series tickets, home furnishings, book baskets, golf course gift certificates, theater tickets, original art, bed and breakfast gift certificates, nursery gift certificates, Kate Spade handbag, wine tasting parties and major sports tickets.

A cash bar will be available.

Tickets are:

• Dinner, $12 in advance, $15 at the door
• Pre-register bid card, $10 in advance, $15 at the door
• Pre-register bid card for students with ID,  $5
• Reserved table at live auction (includes eight dinner tickets or up to eight bid cards), $200

Chocolate chip sundaes with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce will be available for $3 each or two for $5 to benefit the JCCC Hospitality Management Program Knowledge Bowl Team.
