"Carbon Nation, a climate change solutions movie"

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Carbon Nation: a climate change solutions movie that doesn’t even care if you believe in climate change will have two screenings Tuesday, April 12, at 12:30 p.m. in room 211 of the Carlsen Center and 7:30 p.m. in the Craig Community Auditorium, Johnson County Community College. The screenings, sponsored by the Student Environmental Alliance and the Center for Sustainability, are free and open to the public.

Carbon Nation is an inspiring look at the many recent advances in clean energy and green technologies, according to the Los Angeles Times. Appealing to people across the political spectrum, the film illustrates how solutions to climate change also address other social, economic and national security issues. It provides an entertaining, informed and pragmatic primer about why it’s incredibly smart to be a part of the new, low-carbon economy: it’s good business.

Director Peter Byck will be in attendance for Q & A at JCCC, which will stream live to other colleges and universities across the country as part of the Carbon Nation on-campus screenings event.
