Section 411: Application of Personnel Policies

Except as otherwise specified, these policies shall apply to all employees of the college, provided however, those matters embodied in any master contract with "professional employees" of the college will be controlled by the master contract and matters relating to professional negotiations, renewal, non-renewal, continuation, or termination of professional employees as that term is defined in K.S.A. 72-5413 shall be controlled by applicable Kansas statutes.

Except as otherwise specified, where these policies refer to a position by its title, this reference to title shall so be interpreted to include "or his/her designee".

If any provision of these personnel policies is found to be inconsistent with the law or is deemed invalid by a court with jurisdiction over the college, such provision shall be considered void, but all other provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
