Accelerated Business Plan

Accelerated business plan

For displaced workers, retirees, soon-to-be retirees and better-mousetrap-idea people who are interested in starting their own businesses and becoming entrepreneurs, JCCC is offering an accelerated business plan certificate as part of its entrepreneurship program.

JCCC will offer classes every Friday, allowing students to complete a 7-credit-hour business plan certificate in just one semester. Students can enroll in the three classes required for the certificate — Introduction to Entrepreneurship (2 credit hours), Opportunity Analysis (2 credit hours) and FastTrac Business Plan (3 credit hours) — which are offered from on 11 Fridays, from Sept. 3 through Dec. 3, 2010. Previously, these courses were offered in consecutive semesters, an option that is still available.

The business plan certificate program focuses on entrepreneurship as a career choice, evaluating an idea for a business and writing a business plan to start and/or grow a business.

You may register as either a credit or noncredit student. However, you must register for all three courses when enrolling.

Cost is $75 per credit hour ($525 total) for Johnson County residents, $90 per credit hour ($630 for Kansas residents from outside the county and $173 per credit hour ($1,211) for out-of-state residents.
