The beauty, heartache and humor of love
Love, in all its forms, has inspired human beings for centuries, and it is brought to life through the immediacy and resonance of the human voice.
The wonderful British ensemble Voice delivers a bouquet of songs exploring the beauty, heartache and humor of love just in time for Valentine’s Day.
Repertoire will range from the devotional songs of the medieval German abbess Hildegard of Bingen to the comedy and melancholy in ballads from Shakespeare’s time. Traditional songs from the British Isles telling stories both bitter and sweet, and Voice’s own arrangements and commissions, will round out the program.
Feb. 12-13 | choirs
In a musical world where genres and repertoires are readily pigeonholed, Voice is a refreshing British vocal ensemble with a broad repertoire, from the devotional songs of the medieval German abbess Hildegard of Bingen, to the comedy and melancholy in ballads from Shakespeare’s time.
Working with this ensemble will elevate the quality of your choir.
