Inaugural tour of the U.S.
The Tschaikowski St. Petersburg State Orchestra was founded in the years following World War II, working in different musical genres and gaining popularity throughout Russia.
Today, the Orchestra’s repertoire is extremely diverse. For their appearance in Yardley Hall, they will perform:
- Wagner - Prelude and Liebestod from the opera Tristan und Isolde
- Mozart - Violin Concert No. 5, "Turkish" - Mikhail Krutik, violin
- Mussorgsky - Pictures at an Exhibition
