Curriculum connections: language arts and literature, writing, history, cultural studies

Dorinda Nicholson is the author of a series of educational films for children about the history, culture, industry and land of Hawaii.

Her books (including Pearl Harbor Child) and presentations combine her personal story with the history of the time and her on-the-spot account of the bombing, temporary evacuation and war years with video and artifacts.

Her presentations are moving because they are presented from a child’s point of view.
