We know Bill Kurtis as an acclaimed documentary host and producer, network news anchor and multimedia production company president.
He is also a native of Independence, Kan., a rancher, conservationist and owner of the 8,000-acre Red Buffalo Ranch.
During his presentation, Kurtis will share his deep appreciation for small town and rural life, and the revitalization of Sedan, Kan.
He will also talk about the project for which he is most passionate, Tallgrass Beef. Kurtis founded Tallgrass Beef Company in 2005 to champion the environmental and health benefits of grass-fed cattle ranching.
Co-sponsored by the JCCC Kansas Studies Institute.
