LPN Admission Criteria
This is a selective admission program. You must the meet following requirements to be eligible.
Health Education Systems, Inc. Assessment Exam (HESI A2)
You must have a minimum score of 70% or higher in each of the required sections of Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary and Math. The HESI A2 exam is available through Testing Services. You may also register online for the test
Prerequisite Courses
You must have completed following prerequisite courses with a grade of "C" or higher and a cumulative academic GPA of 2.0 or better::
- BIOL 144 Human Anatomy and Physiology - If courses are taken separately, labs must be a component of each course. (5 cr hrs)
- PSYC 130 Introduction to Psychology (3 cr hrs)
You must be currently enrolled in OR have completed the following with a grade of "C" or higher and a cumulative academic GPA of 2.0 or better:
Credit Courses (Credit Class Schedule)- PSYC 218 Human Development (3 cr hrs)
- AVHO 102 Certified Nurse Aide (5 cr hrs) and Current Kansas Certification
- XNC 3140 CPR for Health Care Provider
If you have taken these courses at an accredited college other than JCCC, you must have your transcripts sent to us.
