Math Resource Center
In order to use the lab, you must login either by scanning your JCCC ID or typing in your JCCC student ID number.
To check out resources, such as calculators or textbooks, you must submit the following collateral:
- a picture ID other than a driver's license AND
- a set of car keys, cell phone or a textbook currently used in a JCCC class.
Free assistance is available from the Math Resource Center tutors every hour the center is open. The tutors wear nametags so they are easy to identify.
Don't hesitate to ask for assistance if you need it. Tutors circulate around the room and help you as soon as they are available. Please work while you are waiting. You may spend as much time as you wish in the MRC.
Compass Preparation Materials
You can find the preparation materials here or in the Math Resource Center.
DVDs and CDs
These cover nearly every mathematics class taught at JCCC and the use of Texas Instruments graphing calculators. The DVDs and CDs must be viewed in the MRC. Many of the DVDs and CDs can also be checked out from Billington Library. List of CDs and DVDs (PDF)

Students who want to work on their math without disturbance can use the MRC quiet room. Nine carrels are available, allowing students to be near the assistance and resources of the MRC, yet work in a quieter atmosphere. No talking is allowed in the quiet room.
Group Study Rooms
Any group of three or more students may request to use one of the MRC group study rooms to study math together, if the room is not already reserved for another group. Reservations may be done in advance or on an impromptu basis.
