National Summer Transportation Institute

We have been awarded a National Summer Transportation Institute grant through the Kansas Department of Transportation to provide a very engaging, hands-on summer camp focusing on Transportation careers.

Space is limited, express your interest today! We can only accept a limited number of students through the application process. 

When: June 17 - 28, 8 a.m. -  noon.

Where: We will start on the main campus of Johnson County Community College each morning. Participants will be traveling throughout the metro to participate in hands-on demonstrations at airports, rail yards, trucking centers, waterfront ports, etc.

Cost: $0, all expenses are covered

Per the grant, the participants must meet the following criteria:

• Must be entering 7th, 8th or 9th grade in August.
• Must have completed pre-algebra or will be qualified for enrollment in pre-algebra in August.
• Must have a minimum of a 2.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
• Must be a KS resident.
• Commit to attend all 10 days of the camp.
