JCCC Names New Dean of Students

Paul Kyle
Paul Kyle
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County Community College named Paul Kyle as dean of Student Services beginning May 31.

Kyle comes to JCCC from Butler Community College, El Dorado, where he served as director of enrollment management, 1997-2007; director of counseling, advising and placement, 1996-1997; director of records and research, 1989-1996; and director of onsite advising at Butler’s McConnell Air Force Base site, 1988-1999. He also worked as a graduate assistant in the admission and records office, Wichita State University, and assistant director of admissions, Garden City Community College.

At JCCC, Kyle will oversee financial aid, testing services, enrollment management, student development and career services.

“My philosophy is that students come first,” Kyle said. “Students Services is here to help students accomplish their educational goals and aspirations. For me, it’s rewarding and energizing when I see students complete their goals – whether that’s a certificate or associate’s degree or transfer to a four-year institution.”

Kyle has a bachelor of arts degree in behavioral science and religion/philosophy from Sterling College and a master of education degree in counseling/school psychology from Wichita State University. He is a licensed clinical professional counselor in the state of Kansas.

Kyle has been a member and officer of numerous national and state organizations related to student services including the American Association of Collegiate Registrar and Admissions Officers, the Kansas ACRAO, American Counseling Association, Kansas Counseling Association and Kansas College Counseling Association.
