JCCC Program Receives Reapproval from American Bar

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The Johnson County Community College paralegal/legal nurse consultant program learned on April 24 that it has been recommended for reapproval by the American Bar Association for seven years. On April 23- 24, a two-person site team was on campus, visiting with students, graduates, faculty, administrators, librarians and support staff.

Before the visit occurred, a lengthy self-study report was submitted to the ABA headquarters in August 2006. There are only 260 paralegal programs approved throughout the nation. In 1980 the program received its first approval and has maintained this mark of distinction for more than 25 years.
