JCCC Announces Cavalier Film Festival Winners

OVERLAND PARK, Kan.- Johnson County Community College announces the winners of its 2007 Cavalier Film Festival held April 17 at the college. The festival featured films from JCCC and Johnson County high school students.

Students submitted films in five categories, which were judged by local video and film professionals. The top three winners in each category were shown at the festival. The "overall winner,"selected by the judges, and the "people's choice," selected by filmgoers the night of the festival, received $100. The following high schools were represented at the film festival:

Olathe Northwest, Shawnee Mission Northwest, Olathe North, Shawnee Mission North, Shawnee Mission South, Mill Valley High School, Blue Valley High School and Spring Hill high schools.
