JCCC Student Newspaper Wins Best of Show

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The 2006-07 Campus Ledger, the student newspaper of Johnson County Community College, was named Best of Show in an onsite contest sponsored by the Associated Collegiate Press.

The newspaper placed first in overall quality at the National College Journalism Workshops Aug. 2-5 in Baltimore, Md.

The newspaper competed against other community colleges in the United States and Canada who sent representatives to the event.

The 2006-07 editor of The Campus Ledger was Aaron Whitebread, Lawrence. The representatives to the convention were 2007-08 editor Alexia Stout, Lenexa, and production manager Katherine Kramer, Olathe.
