JCCC Women’s Soccer Team Improves to 6-0-1 

OVERLAND PARK, KS -- The Johnson County Community College women’s soccer team improved to 6-0-1 on the season after going 2-0-1 last week.  JCCC posted a shutout victories over Neosho County (4-0) and Southwestern Illinois (2-0).  The Cavaliers also tied Iowa Western, each team going scoreless in 120 minutes of action.

Sophomore Liz Casey and freshman Amanda Shrader teamed up for the shutout over Neosho County.  Casey was in net against Iowa Western and Southwestern Illinois.  Casey faced 21 shots in the three matches, saving all 21.  

JCCC has not allowed a goal this season.  Casey has earned credit for 5.5 shutouts.  Shrader has credit for 1.5 shutouts.

Offensively, Chelsea Sheahan powered JCCC to the 4-0 win over Neosho County by netting her first collegiate hat trick.  She also provided the assist on the team first goal scored by Andree' Volin.

Sheahan and Danielle Langley had the goals in the 2-0 win over Southwestern Illinois.  Fivi Mihai provided the assist on both goals.
