JCCC Hosts Presentation of Hybrid Vehicles
College Information and Publications 9/14/05 OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County Community College will host Without Gasoline: Fuel-Cell Vehicles and Beyond, a presentation on the future and technology of U.S. vehicles by Jay Brown, product engineer, Toyota, and a display of Toyota hybrid vehicles at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, in the JCCC automotive technology lab, room 190 of the Arts and Technology Building. The presentation and display are free and open to the public. Visitors can park on the south side of campus in the Galileo Parking lot, where signs will direct them to the exhibit. Brown, Torrance, Calif., is a product engineer in the Alternative-Fueled Vehicles department of Toyota Motor Sales, USA. His presentation will also be given at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, at the Antioch Library, 8700 Shawnee Mission Parkway, Merriam, in cooperation with the Mid-America Inventors Association. Presentations are made possible through Toyota Motor Sales and a grant to the Johnson County Library by the WGBH Educational Foundation that produces NOVA, a Public Television Station science show.
