JCCC Names New Director of Professional Education

Tim Frenzel OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Timothy Frenzel has been named the new program director of Professional Education in the Johnson County Community College Center for Business and Technology.

Frenzel, who earned a bachelor of science degree from the University of Kansas and a master of arts degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, has more than 10 years of leadership experience in student education and adult professional development programs. 

Before assuming his position at JCCC, Frenzel was the director of special programs at Alamance Community College, Graham, N.C. While in North Carolina, he earned a certificate in nonprofit management from Duke University. 

Previous to that, Frenzel worked as the program director at Science Pioneers, a non-profit company that promotes science education through student workshops and teacher-education courses in Greater Kansas City, and at the Kansas City Zoo, designing and implementing on-site education courses for individuals from 3-year-olds to senior citizens.

At JCCC, Frenzel will be responsible for developing, implementing and
evaluating continuing education courses, seminars and workshops in mediation, paraprofessional education, insurance, real estate, banking and other professional areas.
