Chikasaw Writer Speaks at JCCC

Linda Hogan OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Acclaimed Chikasaw writer Linda Hogan will present Native American Ritual, Poetry and Story from 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Oct. 18, in the Craig Community Auditorium (room 233 of the General Education Building) at Johnson County Community College. This event is free and open to the public.

Hogan’s presentation will give participants an intimate and enlightening view of Native American rituals and the significance they have today. She has written a number of books including Dwellings: A Spiritual History of the Natural World; Mean Spirit, a Pulitzer prize finalist; and The Woman Who Watches Over the World: A Native Memoir.
