JCCC Fall Sports Among NJCAA’s Best

OVERLAND PARK, KS -- Johnson County Community College athletics regularly ranks among the top of the national rankings, however, for the first time in school history all the teams competing in their current season are ranked nationally.

The JCCC volleyball, men’s soccer, women’s soccer, men’s cross country and women’s cross country teams are all ranked in the top-15 in the NJCAA.  Additionally, four of those five teams are ranked in the top-10, and volleyball and men’s soccer are among the top-five ranked teams nationally.

The volleyball team, fueled by a 9-0 stretch last week, stand 17-2 overall and jumped from 12th to third this week.  The men’s soccer team, 8-1-0 this season, hold down the No. 4 spot.  The women’s soccer team has not allowed a goal this season, stand 6-0-1 and moved into the polls for the first time at No. 15.  The cross country teams, a perennial force in the NJCAA, stand eighth in their respective polls.
