KSBDC Presents FranklinCovey Two-Day Workshop

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The Kansas Small Business Development Center at Johnson County Community College will offer The 7 Habits for Small Business Owners and Managers: A FranklinCovey Workshop from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, and Thursday, June 26, in room 145 of the Regnier Center, JCCC.

The two-day 7 Habits workshop is an intensive application-oriented learning experience that focuses on the fundamentals of great leadership. This workshop gives business owners and managers tools to meet today’s small business challenges including delegation, problem solving, goal setting, accountability, trust, time management, collaboration and employee development. The 7 Habits workshop includes a comprehensive participant guidebook, a management essentials book, an audio CD with Stephen R. Covey, and paper and electronic versions of the tools introduced in the workshop.

The class is limited to individuals representing businesses with fewer than 100 employees. The cost is $395 and includes lunch and workshop materials. For more information, call 913-469-3878. To register, call 913-469-2323 and refer to CRN # 51101. Plans call for the workshop to be offered each semester. The next 7 Habits for Small Business Owners and Managers will be 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Oct. 14 and 16.

The workshop will be taught by Bob Kolich and Elisa Waldman, consultants, KSBDC, who are certified as workshop facilitators by FranklinCovey.

The KSBDC at JCCC is among the first SBDCs in the country to offer The 7 Habits for Small Business Owners and Managers workshop, according to Malinda Bryan-Smith, director, KSBDC at JCCC.
