JCCC Dining Services wins bronze medal

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County Community College Dining Services took the bronze medal in the Catering-Standard Menu category of the National Association of College and University Food Services 2009 Dining Awards, announced April 27. JCCC Dining Services received the bronze prize within the category of mid-size colleges and universities.

Criteria for judging included menu, presentation, marketing and overall impression. The entry called for a formal copy of the menu, kitchen production sheet, recipes for specialty items, essay and photos. The menu selection looked at variety of items and price ranges, special dietary and ethic offerings, balance of color and texture, and seasonal and regional offerings.
