JCCC Offers More Fall Classes at GEHS

GARDNER, Kan. – This fall, Johnson County Community College is offering more classes, all with convenient times and start dates, at its College Close to Home site at the Gardner-Edgerton High School, 425 N. Waverly, Gardner.

In a special “Finish Your Summer, then Start Your Semester” campaign, JCCC is beginning fall credit classes at GEHS Aug. 25, two weeks after other campus locations, allowing students at the GEHS Close to Home site two more weeks of summer vacation than students at other JCCC locations.

JCCC is also offering more sections of courses than ever before at GEHS. Courses include Accounting, Introduction to Business, Personal Finance, computer application courses, English Composition, Spanish, Western Civilization, Fundamentals of Math, Elementary Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, American National Government, Introduction to Psychology, Reading Skills Improvement, Introduction to Sociology, Interpersonal Communication and Public Speaking.

“With a site in Gardner, Johnson County Community College has made classes accessible to residents in the southern part of the county, offering a wide variety of classes at times suitable to people who work during the day,” said Shirley
Brown-VanArsdale, Gardner, JCCC trustee.
