Project Finish Volunteers Needed

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – An orientation for new Project Finish volunteers will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, in room 234 of the Carlsen Center at Johnson County Community College. Project Finish, sponsored by JCCC and Johnson County Library, provides classes and individualized instruction to help undereducated adults improve academic skills. Volunteer tutors are needed to help adult students improve reading, writing and math skills; prepare for the GED test; or learn English as a second language. Classes are held in nine locations throughout Johnson County. Volunteers tutor for two to three hours one morning or evening each week for a minimum of six months. They work under the direction of a professional instructor assisting students with the curriculum
that is provided.

Contact Janet Daley, Project Finish volunteer coordinator, at 913-829-5089 for more information.
