OPL Celebrates 25 Years

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. The  Office Professional League of Johnson County Community College will be celebrating its 25th anniversary at its annual spring luncheon from noon-1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, in the Capitol Federal Conference Center of the Regnier Center. "Movies" is the theme of the luncheon, which will include a 25th anniversary cake and red-carpet treatment of guests.

The organization was founded in 1983 as a network of support and fellowship for the office personnel at the college. Through the activities of OPL, members have opportunities for personal and professional growth and to raise funds for the OPL scholarship program. OPL gave $8,900 for 11 scholarships for the 2007-2008 academic year. All hourly and part-time and full-time Office and Technical personnel of JCCC are  eligible to join OPL.

For more information, contact Betty Uko, admissions clerk and past OPL president, 913-469-8500, ext 2417.
