JCCC Hosts Technical Careers Showcase

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County Community College will host a technical careers showcase to acquaint prospective students with education and employment opportunities in industrial technology fields from 10 a.m. to
2 p.m. Saturday, April 5, on the south side of the Arts and Technology Building.

JCCC faculty, staff, current students and prospective employers will be available to answer questions about career expectations. JCCC career counselors and admission representatives will be on hand to answer questions about admissions and scholarships. The event will offer food, demonstrations, giveaways and prizes.

Featured programs are:

  • Automotive technology
  • Civil engineering technology
  • Drafting technology
  • Electrical technology
  • Electronic technology
  • Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC)
  • Metal fabrication
  • Railroad welding
