2008 KU Relays Logo
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- Johnson County Community College freshman jumpers Kali Jackson and Randal Carter each had impressive performances at the annual Kansas Relays, April 16-19, in Lawrence, Kan.

Jackson recorded a third-place finish in the triple jump and a fifth place effort in the long jump. Carter turned in a third-place finish in the high jump. Both were indoor national champions, and look to repeat as outdoor national champions at the NJCAA Outdoor Championships, May 15-17, in Levelland, Texas.

Jackson posed a mark of 50'9.5" in the triple jump. That effort ranks as the second best all-time in team history. His mark in the long jump was 23'3.5". Carter cleared 7'1.75" in the high jump which ranks him second all-time on JCCC’s performance list.
