Anderson selected NFCA All-American

OVERLAND PARK, KS -- Tracey Anderson, a freshman third baseman for the Johnson County Community College softball team, was recently selected as a Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-America first-team performer.  She is the 47th NFCA All-America selection for the JCCC softball program.  Anderson also earned first-team East Jayhawk All-Conference and first-team NJCAA All-Region VI honors.
A local product from Shawnee Mission North, Anderson led the Lady Cavaliers with a .466 average (90-for-193).  She also led the team with 90 hits and 29 doubles.  Her 90 hits rank fifth all-time for a season at JCCC, and her 29 doubles tie JCCC’s season mark with Kathy Kiblinger.  Anderson is also dangerous on the base paths, stealing 18 bases.
As a prep athlete, Anderson was a three-time All-Sunflower League selection in softball, and was twice voted her team’s MVP.  She also was a three-time all-league performer in basketball at Shawnee Mission North.
