OVERLAND PARK, KS -- Johnson County Community College guard Danielle Shows added another gem to her outstanding sophomore campaign, leading the Lady Cavaliers to a 55-47 home win over Neosho County Community College, Wednesday night. Shows recorded her team leading 10th double-double, finishing with 16 points and 12 rebounds.
Shows, who averages 12.6 points and 11.2 rebounds per game on the season, hit 5-of-8 shots and 6-of-8 free throws. She also had three assists, a block and a steal, helping JCCC up its season mark to 8-7.
Freshman guard Katie Nietzke came in off the bench and played well, and hit some key 3-point baskets for the Lady Cavaliers. She finished with 11 points, and was 3-of-5 from the 3-point line.
