Johnson County improved to 19-9 last Wednesday night with an 85-80 come-from-behind victory over Labette.  Trailing by seven at the break and 10 points early in the second half, JCCC stormed back to win by five.  The victory was also the 275th for head coach Debbie Carrier.

Sophomore Katy  Davenport led JCCC with a game-high 34 points,  25 coming in the second half.  Davenport hit 11-of-26 shots, including 2-of-5 from 3- point range, and 10-of-12 from the free throw line.  She also led all players with 11 rebounds. Also scoring in double figures for JCCC were sophomore Jacky Smith and freshman Meghan Waggoner, each finishing with 14 points.  Smith was 4-of-7 from the field, including a perfect 2-of-2 from 3-point range, and hit 4-of-5 from the line. She also had five assists, upping her career total to 368, nine shy of the record. Waggoner hit 4-of-8 shots, and all six free throws.  Heather Rourk added nine points and five assists and Brittney Slifer followed with seven points and six rebounds.

JCCC also moved up one spot in the NJCAA poll, holding down the No. 12 spot in the country.
