Linn earns All-America honors

OVERLAND PARK, KS -- Johnson County Community College sophomore guard Aaron Linn was one of 20 players to earn selection as a 2006-07 NJCAA Division II Basketball All-American.  Linn, who was a preseason All-America selection, was named to the third-team.  He is the 10th All-American in JCCC history.

This season, Linn led JCCC in scoring with 634 points, an average of 18.6 per game.  That total ties the fifth-best season in team history.  Linn also led the squad with 78 3- point baskets and 80 steals, which rank him fifth and 11th on JCCC’s season chart.  His effort helped lead JCCC to its third NJCAA National Tournament appearance.  The team finished tied for ninth at this year’s tournament.  Linn scored 17 points in the first game against eventual national champion Mott, and had 18 points against Phoenix College.

Linn ends his career at JCCC ranked among the all-time career leaders in several categories.  Most notably, Linn moved into the No. 3 spot all-time in scoring with 1,113 points.  He is just the eighth player in team history to score over 1,000 points in a career.  He also ranks second in career 3-point field goals and career free throws with 146 and 257 respectively.  His 147 career steals ranks fifth.
