JCCC baseball remains one of NJCAA’s top hitting teams

Individually, the Cavaliers are led by sophomore Doug Otto. He is hitting at .438 clip, which has him among the top 50 hitters in the country. Otto has a team high 63 hits, including a team best 16 doubles, four triples and is tied for the team lead with five home runs. He driving in 38 runners, second highest on the team. Otto’s 16 doubles tie him for fifth on JCCC’s season chart, just five away from the season record.
Freshman John Lenherr and Parker Amos are also having solid seasons. Lenherr it hitting .428 (62-for-145) with 12 doubles, two triples and 35 RBI. Amos it hitting .397 (54-for-136) with 12 doubles, three triples, a home run and a team high 40 RBI.
Another player who has found his swing again, is sophomore Jeremy Francis. After struggling early in the campaign, Francis has raised his average to .306 (41-for-134) with six doubles, a triple, a home run and 19 RBI. He also recently registered his 100th career hit, becoming the 21st Cavalier to reach that milestone.
