JCCC out slugs Ft. Scott, but splits conference series

OVERLAND PARK, KS -- The bats came alive in game one against Fort Scott, as the Cavaliers collected 10 hits.  Reed Kreiser, Nick Giuliani, Justin Miller, Luis Lopez, each had two hits in the game while Eddie Torres had 2 RBI's.  Unfortunately it was not enough as the Cavaliers gave up yet another lead in the seventh, and lost the game 7-6.  Travis Blankenship took the loss going six strong innings,  allowing three earned runs and four unearned on four Cavalier errors.

The Cavaliers’ bats remained hot in game two, with the Cavaliers picking up another 10 hits, but managed to win this game 6-3.   Justin Miller and Chris Dobler each had 2 hits, while Eddie Torres had a clutch two-RBI single in the sixth giving Dustin Holthaus all that he needed on the mound.  Holthaus pitched a gem in his six innings of work.  He gave up just five hits, and one earned run on the day, upping his record to 3-0 on the season.  Ryan Krull relieved Holthaus in the seventh, working a perfect 1-2-3 inning, picking up his first save of the year.
