Cavaliers win fourth straight

OVERLAND PARK, KS -- The  Johnson County Community College baseball team won its fourth straight game yesterday, pounding out a 20-2 win over Rockhurst JV.  Sophomore Brad Lewendowski poured the Cavaliers, going 3-for-3 with two home runs and a double, and six runs batted.  His double was nearly a home run, hitting the top of fence.

Last year, Lewendowski had a three homer, seven-RBI game at Fort Scott.

Freshman Jeremy Francis, the lead off hitter, had two doubles and a single and drove in five runs, and sophomore Nick Giuliani had a double and three RBI in the victory.

Freshman left-hander Travis Blankenship picked up his first collegiate victory, allowing just one hit in four innings.  Jake Smith and Matt Thomason pitched the final three innings
