The CLB contains classrooms; anatomy, chemistry, earth science and
environmental science laboratories; and the latest equipment for the math,
science and health career programs. Six rooms simulate typical hospital
rooms and offer nursing and respiratory care students the opportunity to
perform their lab work together, while dental hygiene students work in a
realistic dentist's office.
The CLB also offers a Computer-assisted Science Education lab, in which
students can conduct science experiments on computers before performing
them in the laboratory. The earth science lab is equipped with a special
telescope that allows daytime observation of the skies.
JCCC's Math Resource Center, which is also in the building, can accommodate
more than 15,000 students who annually seek help.
