Smoking in Designated Areas Only

On April 19, 2007, the JCCC board of trustees approved a modification to the college’s existing Smoke-Free Campus policy, 422.05.

Smoking is only  permitted in outdoor designated, posted areas. Signs will be posted throughout campus identifying the designated smoking areas. This map shows the Designated Smoking Areas .

Violations
Student violations are to be reported to JCCC’s Public Safety department. Staff violations are to be reported to JCCC’s Public Safety department and the individual’s supervisor.

Smoking Cessation Classes
Those individuals interested in participating in smoking cessation classes are encouraged to contact any of the following organizations for information.

American Lung Association
American Cancer Society
Johnson County Health Department
Olathe Medical Center
Overland Park Regional Medical Center
Shawnee Mission Medical Center
