| Eligibility: | Preference is given to students whose educational goal is to seek an associate's degree in Business Administration, computer information systems, or technology through one of the following academic areas: accounting, banking and finance, business entrepreneurship, business office technology, computer information systems, computer information technology, economics or marketing management. Applicant must fill out the Free Application for Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA) and be a resident in Johnson County or one of the following metro areas that Capital Federal serves: Emporia Lawrence, Salina, Topeka, or Wichita. The JCCC scholarship application, JCCC admission application, and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) are required. Student must have a 3.0 GPA or higher and must be enrolled in 12 or more hours. The Capital Federal Savings Scholarship application and a letter of recommendation from a counselor, teacher or employer are also required, as well as a one-page narrative of the student's educational and professional goals. Applicants must apply each semester, and priority will be given to past participants who remain in good academic standing and qualify for federal aid each year until completion of degree requirements. |
