Section 419: Employee Benefits
The president or his/her designee may or may not grant a leave of absence
with or without pay not to exceed twenty (20) working days upon the
request of a full-time employee.
Upon the request of an employee, the president may recommend a leave of
absence with or without pay, not to exceed one (1) year, for approval by
the Board of Trustees. The terms and conditions of such leave shall be
stated in writing.
The Board of Trustees encourages staff to participate in professional
activities, and this section shall be considered applicable to staff
development or professional activities which may require an employee's
time away from the college.
