Section 219: Auxiliary

Auxiliary services, such as food services, bookstore, central stores, childcare, and other similar services, shall be a part of the college’s effort to provide facilities, services, and activities for the educational and personal development of students of the college. Auxiliary services shall be made available to faculty and staff of the college.

It is the intention of the college to offer these services as an adjunct to the instructional program, or as a service to students and staff. It is not the intention of the college to compete with or detract from merchants offering such services to the general community.

The same business policies established by the Board of Trustees for other college business functions shall apply to all auxiliary business operations. All auxiliary services shall be subject to college internal and external audit procedures
