Application Procedures

Admission to JCCC provides the opportunity to enroll in credit classes, except for selective admissions programs. The practical nursing, registered nursing, MICT, dental hygiene, interpreter training, respiratory therapy, paralegal, cosmetology, esthetics, nail technology, police academy, polysomnography/sleep technology and railroad operations programs have special application packets. Please refer to selective admissions for more information. Students who need to complete prerequisite courses to be considered for admission to these programs should select “Associate of Arts” to enroll in those courses.

Students may apply for admission to JCCC by using our online application (via the link located at the bottom of this page), or by completing a paper application found in all area high schools and in the student success center on campus. Both types of applications are given the same consideration. The online application is secure and is the fastest way to submit your application.

Students interested in taking non-credit, continuing education, classes do not need to complete an application for admission. Call 913-469-2323 to enroll in classes.

By providing your personal email address on your application, you will be notified via email once your application has been processed. This acceptance email will include your JCCC ID number and your next steps to enrollment.
