Each year, JCCC serves more than 150,000 people through the three divisions that comprise Continuing Education and Community Services:
The Center for Business and Technology is your one-stop provider of training, offering an array of solutions that will enhance your performance--regardless of your industry--and generate real results. We offer training in computer technology, business development, health care, insurance, real estate, dispute resolution, education, technical trades, and public safety training!
The center also has a complete staff of business solutions directors who can customize a training program specifically for your organization. Whether you are an individual who values lifelong learning or an organization wanting to gain a competitive advantage, you will find the solutions you need at the center.
JCCC’s Community Services division provides a variety of noncredit continuing education courses, workshops and special events throughout the metropolitan area. Popular personal-enrichment topics are arts and crafts, dance, health and lifestyles, food and wine, foreign language, money management and youth programs.
Older adults take advantage of the Great Decisions and Current Issues forums, while children take classes through TALENTS!, a program for gifted youth, and sports clinics.
Adult basic education and preparation for the GED exam are offered through Project Finish (sponsored jointly with the Johnson County Library). Both Project Finish and the Intensive English Program work with non-native speakers of English.
The mission of the Kansas Small Business Development Center at Johnson County Community College is to increase economic prosperity in Kansas by helping entrepreneurs and small business owners start and grow their businesses through professional consulting, training, and resources. The KSBDC offers Counseling Services, Small Business Workshops and Resource Information.
