The Humanities Department offers introductory courses in the arts of the world studied from both historical and formal perspectives. In addition there are intermediate courses on specific humanistic themes, such as Classical and World Mythology; and Islamic, Japanese, and Russian Culture. Although most courses are taught in a traditional classroom setting, the department also offers online courses and foreign study programs.

Courses in related humanistic disciplines, such as Art History, Fine Arts, History, Music, Philosophy, Religion, Photography, and Theatre can be found on the home page of those departments.
