As a member of the Brown & Gold Club you will receive

  • Free tuition for most credit classes on a space-available basis during B&G registration (as posted in semester bulletins) *subject to change
  • Reduced fees for most non-credit, or "continuing education" classes
  • $6 Potpourri offerings selected by a Brown & Gold committee, provided by JCCC Community Services Division. Refreshments are provided by the Brown & Gold Club. *1 free Kansas Humanities presentation per year.
  • FREE social programs such as Halloween ConcertFest, Winter Concert, and May Gala Celebration. Refreshments provided.
  • Trips and tours to local, regional, and national destinations at lowest cost to you.
  • FREE Gold-Quest presentations. Several provided each semester on such topics as health, art, community, world religion, and many more.
  • $3-$5 discounts for services offered by students in the JCCC dental hygiene, cosmetology, and massage therapy programs (limited appointments available).
  • $5 discount off tickets to all Carlsen Center sponsored events costing more than $15 (1 ticket per membership card) Call the JCCC Box Office at 913.469.4445 to purchase tickets
  • Discounts on Potpourri offerings selected by a Brown & Gold committee and provided by the JCCC Community Services Division. Refreshments are provided by the Brown & Gold Club.
  • Free admittance to all home JCCC athletic events.
  • Free admittance to JCCC  Nell Mitchell Wellness Lectures (otherwise open only to students enrolled in the Lifetime Fitness classes). 
  • Monthly Newsletter mailed to your home to keep members abreast of upcoming events.
  • Volunteer opportunities through serving on one of the Brown & Gold committees or running for election to the Brown & Gold Board. 
  • 10% discount on merchandise at JCCC Bookstore. (discount not applied to textbooks, computer hardware/software, electronics or gift cards)

Remember, you  get all of these things for just $10 a year! So many times, new members tell us they've lived in Johnson County for several years and had never heard of the Brown & Gold Club. JCCC Brown & Gold Club Membership Requirements
Must be at least 55 years of age, have resided in Johnson County Kansas for at least 6 months, & pay an annual membership fee of $10 per person. *$25 for 3-year membership.
