Every year Brown & Gold holds an election for new Board Members.  Any one of our nearly 5,000 members is eligible to run for election.  The nominating committee must find and submit a slate of at least 6 candidates to the Board at its March meeting.  Ballots are sent out in April and then counted in May.  Winners are contacted in June and will take office in July.

All Board Members serve a three-year term and are required to attend our monthly Board Meetings, which are held on the college campus every second Wednesday of the month from 1 to 3pm.  Board Members are encouraged to attend B&G functions and be members of at least two of our many sub-committees such as the Trips Committee, Continuing Education Committee and Membership Committee.

So toss your hat in the ring and join us and many other Johnson County residents in helping to plan and promote the best events around!
