This transition to Google provides backup and hosting services with no additional cost to the college. This allows JCCC to provide a stable and reliable mail environment for students. As a result, students will have more space for email messages and be allowed larger attachments along with a more feature rich email client. JCCC faculty and staff will not receive an account in Google Apps unless they are also currently enrolled students. Instructions and information to help students, faculty and staff make the transition easily can be found at http://www.jccc.edu/home/depts.php/S00013/site/Student_Support and/or the below links. If there are additional questions, please contact the Help Desk at JCCC at 913-469-8500, ext. 4357, toll free at (866) 896-5893, email helpdesk@jccc.edu. This entailed a replacement of the current technologically outdated system with both hardware and software components to provide a newer voicemail system. While many of the changes will impact the behind the scenes maintenance and support aspects of voicemail, by making it more efficient and easier to operate, some of the changes will impact end users directly.
